Work On Some Mundane Physical Jobs for Clearer Thinking
Sometimes you need to get away from blogging and do something physical.
I had some painting that needed to be done around the house, and I was surprised at what a great opportunity for reflection the painting gave me.
Usually, my mind is going a mile a minute at all times. Either I am blogging, or I’m reading other blogs, or I’m working on other blogging and business-related stuff. The rest of the time, I’m busy with the other people in my life, or am running around doing errands.
That kind of life does not leave much time for reflection, and reflection is sometimes sorely needed.
While painting, I was not really thinking hard about anything, but just letting my mind wander while doing the repetitive task. This freed my mind to look at the big picture. I was surprised at how much clarity I achieved about my business plans.
Instead of focusing on the task at hand or the next task to be done, my mind was free to wander, and it came up with the most important things to focus on. I figured out what I should be focusing on in my business, without even trying.
So next time you are stuck in a rut or feel rushed and torn a million different ways, try doing some physical, repetitive task, and see if it puts you in a better frame of mind. It could give your mind a rest, so that you can clearly see the big picture.

I have always thought that manufacturers should provide a program where white collar individuals would PAY THEM to work on their assembly lines for one afternoon a month or something like that as a form of therapy.
Good idea
We definitely don’t get enough physical activity in our culture (unless our job involves a lot of physical work).
P.S. First the Cow, now the Turtle! I can’t wait till someone makes a parody of my blog
