Terry Dean’s Intern Program
On Wednesday, Terry Dean announced that he was starting an intern program. Terry is a very successful internet marketer, and I consider him a role model. So I was very excited and signed up right away.
The way the program works is that you work for 1-2 hours per day, 5 days a week, on tasks for Terry’s business. By doing this, you learn how to run your own internet business. The intern program goes for 12 weeks.
You might wonder why I am signing up for an intern program. Don’t I already know about internet business? Well, I know a few thinigs, but I am an absolute newbie compared to Terry Dean. I am really looking forward to learning what he can teach me about his business practices.
The first day was very quick as we were just getting started. The second day, I got a meaty assignment. I learned a lot from doing it. I was familiar with the concept, but I had not come up with such a detailed procedure for doing it. Just from that one task, I can see that this program is going to be great.
I was going to recommend that you sign up for Terry’s intern program, but I checked his blog again just now, and he had such a huge response that he can’t take any more interns right now. I was lucky to get in! He will be offering it again in the future, though, so keep an eye on his blog.
I am looking forward to learning a lot, and maybe someday I will have an intern program of my own.
(Not for a while, though.)

Hi Pat,
I just wanted to thank you for being in the program. Julie showed me the fantastic job you did. I’m not a bit surprised because of how well you do your blog.
You already run a blog that generates good traffic so I’m sure you’ll run into a few assignments that you already know well, but there will be some that will definitely improve your results. Keep your ears open for some of the “passing comments” I make at times in some of the assignments as those can be big results changers.
I do have to apologize to everyone that we closed down the intern to new sign-ups at the moment. I was really surprised at just how many people signed up so fast (it caused a few problems with the video training itself).
Hi Pat,
I am curious. I thought Terry’s intern program required you to spend time on promoting and supporting his business for those 12 weeks. I guess posting about it here is indirect support
In any case, even with no vacancies on his intern program, I am sure some of the experience you pick up will rub off here on your blog and we can learn from that.
Brendan
Thanks, Terry!
Brendan, yes, in Terry’s program, you spend 1-2 hours per day working on Terry’s business. This post is not part of that, though.
I do get to work on my own stuff the rest of the day!
While Terry’s intern program may be closed right now, James Brausch’s is open. It doesn’t matter which of them you learn from, they both have so much to share.
Still I will keep my eyes open for Terry’s program as well, especially since I heard him speak in Oct of 2007.
I’ll be watching you too Pat, since I am just getting started online.
Ria, I think it is important to pick a mentor that you feel compatible with - someone who has a similar business to the one you want to have. Good luck to you in your online ventures!
