Distractions
Do you notice in internet marketing, how easy it is to get distracted?
I have allowed myself to get distracted, once again!
While surfing around, I came across Mike Filsaime’s Butterfly Marketing Manuscript. Remember, a while ago, Butterfly Marketing was being talked about everywhere? I didn’t buy the course, because I didn’t have thousands of dollars to spend on it. ![]()
Even now, the Butterfly Marketing course is $1497. But Mike is also selling just the ebook from the course for $97 as the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript (warning - annoying popups). I purchased it this weekend, because I had heard so many good things about it.
Well, I wasn’t disappointed. I felt it was well worth the money. It has so many wonderful tips in it. I got a lot out of it, and I would highly recommend it.
So what am I complaining about, then?
Well, it’s just this - I had kind of a plan for things I was going to work on - then this came along and put a bunch of other ideas into my head.
I have heard that this is why it is so hard to succeed in internet marketing, because you keep getting distracted by the latest thing and don’t finish what you started.
So, reluctantly, I am going to try to get back to what I was working on before… but I am definitely going to file the ideas from the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript into my mental filing cabinet. I just hope it doesn’t get too full in there!

Ugh hate getting distracted. Glad to hear the book was worth it, will have to look into more reviews. So you feeling better? I’ve got two now sick.
Hi Homemom, yes, I’m feeling better, thanks. Sorry you have two sick ones…
Hi Pat,
Yes I know this feeling too… too much things to try. Sometimes I work on my laptop but make sure the wireless is not on. This way, when I am tempted to go on the internet (for what’s supposed to be a minute search but actually last an hour or more…), I create a kind of action barrier and I manage to stick with it.
Hi Fab, that’s a great idea! I will have to try that!
Hi Pat,
‘FAB’s action barrier is not a bad idea, as long as you don’t have yourself under enough of control.
I do that too sometimes. I just wrote a blog post about that topic.
Probably I was distracted by yours? Well, as long as I finish my new, daily task list I don’t really care so much. Yours John
Hey, John, great post! I think I will blog about it…

Great article! This is very true. I spent 2 years distracted trying every new thing that popped up. But didn’t stick with anything long enough to be successful.
