| Domain Name | Your Domain Name is the address that points to your website. I recommend getting your Domain Name from a different company than your hosting. Namecheap is good because their prices are cheap and they are easy to use. |
| Hosting | Hosting is where your website resides. I recommend Hostgator for web hosting. I use them and have always been happy with them. They have cpanel and fantastico, which is great for setting up wordpress blogs easily. Use this link and coupon code “wordpress” to get a discount. For wordpress blogs, be sure to get Linux hosting, not Windows. |
| FTP Program | You will need an FTP program to transfer your website files to your hosting. I use Cute FTP and love it, but it has gotten more expensive than when I bought it. A good free alternative is Filezilla. |
